The Vertical Production Association of America ("VPAA") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information across our platforms: vpaa.us, castingexchange.com, vtregistry.com, and vbexchange.us.

Account information: Name, email address, password (encrypted), membership type
Profile information: Headshots, reels, credits, bio, location, professional details
Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, submission history, messages sent
Visa application data: Nationality, work history, visa type requested (for immigration services only)

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate our casting, registry, and exchange platforms
To process payments and maintain membership records
To send transactional emails (confirmations, notifications, updates)
To match talent with relevant casting opportunities using AI
To prepare immigration support documentation upon your request
To improve our platforms and develop new features
To comply with legal obligations

3. AI and Data Processing

VPAA uses Claude AI (Anthropic) to power features including AI role matching, character building, and immigration letter drafting assistance. Data submitted to AI features is processed according to Anthropic's privacy policies. We do not use your personal data to train AI models.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

With productions and casting directors: Your VCX profile is visible to verified productions and casting directors on the platform when you submit to a breakdown.
With our immigration attorney partner: Only when you request visa documentation services and explicitly consent.
Service providers: Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email). All under data processing agreements.
Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and encrypted password storage. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and data
Export your data in a portable format
Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. International Users

Our services are operated from the United States. If you are accessing from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Our services are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
